ok let me first start off by saying thanks from the bottom of my heart to all the players and staff that made this game possible. without you the players this never would have happened. all of yall were awesome and i had very little issues on the field which made my job much easier. As i said in the safety breifing on saturday morning, this was the first time trigger time had an airsoft event at this field in almost 2 years. This weekend was a test to see if he wanted airsoft back and we passed the test with flying colors thanks to you the players. he posted on the trigger time fb page that this was the best group of airsoft players and staff that he had ever had at the field so my hats off to you guys. Next i do want to say to all airsoft players that event schedules are there for a reason. i generally dont like to do a lunch break in my games and want players to eat on the field to add realism to the game and when players start leaving the field, it hurts the game. there are some players that travel over 4 hours to come play and when a game get cuts short because there are not enough players on the field then those players feel cheated. i am however considering changeing my policy for future games and may start doing a lunch break. also, when the schedule says on day 2 that breifing starts at 8:30 and game on at 9 then be considerate of the other players and be on time. the game started an hour late on sunday because alot of players were not ready but, i do understand that everybody played hard on saturday and was tired. again keep in mind that there are players that travel a long ways to come play and they dont want to feel that they got cheated. ok enough of my rant on to the game play.
Like i said earlier i had very little issues on the field during game play and saw alot of good sportsmanship. some of this was attributed to the good leadership from command staff on both sides so thanks to sal and kyle for doing such an awesome job. Also thanks to my dedicate staff for working hard to make this game enjoyable for everybody and helping me out. your hard work was much appreciated. Officially we had 118 players for the game on saturday.
There was 4 main story line objective that was in this game: 1. rescue the mole 2. retrieve the intel he stole 3. find the weapon of mass destruction the coalition built 4. use weapon
Then there was 5 game objectives that were worth points 1. destroy enemy fob 2. capture and control 3 respawns 3. find chemical weapons 4. find nuclear weapon 5. find enemy co's and take their tokens
on saturday the game started off with the coalition in control of the 3 captureable respawns and there were 12 points up for grabs total during the day and nite game on saturday which the coaltion grabed 9 of those points and the resistance grabed 3. The resistance's special forces team, which was viper milsim, inserted into the field 5 minutes before game play and went looking for the mole. the coalition accidently stumbled upon the mole and almost took him captive but one of the vipers was able to think quickly on his feet and managed to get the mole out and successfully return the mole to the resistance hq. Then there was 3 chemical weapons that came into play and the coaltion got 2 and the resistance got 1. also there was 2 nuclear tanks to be found and the coalition found both. Now on this point i wanted to explain further: the 2 co's were informed that only one could be used by each side and if they found both they could protect the other tank. which sal did find both and keep the resistance from finding theirs through the whole game. The coalalition did use their nuke but used it on the wrong target so it was ineffective. the chemical tanks were never used during the game. So there was 5 objective points up for grabs which the coalition which the coaltion got 4 and the resistance got 1. Then the laptop came into play and the resistance was successful in finding that. both sides were successful in defending their fob's. The coalition made a good push to try and destroy the resistance fob but was unsuccessful. this was probally one of the best fire fights that i have ever wittnessed in any of the games i have put on and hands down the best best fight of the game. I was never told about either of the co's being killed and having their tokens taken so neither side earned any of those points.
Then about 3 oclock there were roughly 15 coalition on the field to the resistance 5 and the co's decided to stop play and let everybody rest and rehydrate and we went ahead and did the raffle. which i want to thank robert from red tactical for doing an outstanding job with the raffle. I have had the priveledge of watching robert grow up in airsoft and now open a store and i wish him all the best. also viper milsim donated stuff for the raffle which was also greatly appreciated. You guys will always be top notch in my book and i look forward to getting the opportunity to run with yall in future games.
The nite game started at 7pm and ended at 10 pm i was willing to stay on the field and let players play until 11 but everybody played so hard that day that everybody wanted to get back to their camps and rest which i dont blame them. The nite game consisted of 2 respawn checks and finding the wmd. the first check the coalition had 2 and the resistance 1 and on the second check the coalition had 2 and was pushing on the third which the resistance was defending with all they had but 30 seconds before the check a player lost their eye pro and blind man was called which all the players were awesome in stoping play and making sure the down player was ok so that check was thrown out. Also there was a massive fight for the wmd at the airfield and the resistance was successfull in getting that and taking it back to their hq to decode the lock and arm the weapon which they did.
Sunday started out with the coalition defending their hq and trying to keep the resistance from getting the wmd to it which they successfully did. the resistance made several good pushes but was never able to get the weapon into the coalition hq. the game ended with the resistance having the weapon about 50 feet from the coalition hq.
So officially the game ended with the coalition earning 12 of the game objective points to the resistance's 4 and the resistance earning 3 of the storyline objectives to the coaliton's 1.
Again i want to thank all the players for coming out and playing. Airsoft is about having fun and i think that everybody had a good time and i enjoyed putting the game on for you guys. Sorry if i didnt get to spend time with some of yall this weekend but know that i appreciate you coming and look forward to seeing everybody on a local field soon. Be on the look out for a TOG PRODUCTIONS game this fall
