TANK RULES
Vehicles and tanks will be on the field for this operation so its important to understand how to interact with them should you be in close proximity.
Tanks are used for support. We classify a tank as any motor vehicle, gas or electric that is capable of shooting, be it mounted small arms or air powered rockets.
A troop carrier is classified as any vehicle not capable of shooting but is used to transport goods, arms and people. ( Truck, SUV, Gator etc ) We will have non-combat vehicles on the field. ( Spawn Transports for players & Medical Transports for Medics ).
SPEED LIMIT
Speed limit will be 5MPH off of the main road and 10MPH on the main road This is not to be old grannies, it is just to be safe. We have seen in the past where people have been clipped by a speeding vehicle. (Player popped right out of the woods.) He was ok, but no more free driving as much as I would like to have it. Plus the limit ALLOWS the players to interact with the vehicles, ambush them, take cover behind them, escort them in hostile areas. We recommend a spotter for vehicles with serious blind spots. Some tanks are made to look like a tank, some just have only small ports to see. This could be dangerous around ruts, embankments, drop offs, as well as backing over a player. With that being said, we will institute a 15 foot rule to players. Unless your entering or exiting, do not be more than 15 ft to the vehicle or tank. If a vehicle or tank is at a stand still, not moving, stationary, it can be used as cover. Once the vehicle starts moving you must adhere to the 15 ft rule.
RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
You cannot engage a Medical Unit, they will be marked with the universal "Red Cross" emblem. You CAN engage a regular transport if enemies are visible and at their ready.
Example - Pickup truck is coming down a path, you see a load of soldiers in the back, plus you see one standing up with his M-60 resting on the roof. This is an obvious threat. Do not just indiscriminately fire into the vehicle with a hail of 6mm. Choose your targets and shoot with precision, take out the threat using the vehicle.
DO NOT shoot the driver EVER, avoid windows if possible.
Now you can use air powered rockets. ( NERF Cannons, See Rocket Launcher, Cannon Rules ). One shot from one of these and is over, whole vehicle gone and players head back to respawn. You can also set up an ambush with poison gas. ( See Smoke grenade & Lethal Gas Rules ). You engulf a vehicle in Poison, no one in the vehicle has on the proper PPE ( Personal Protection Equipment ) their all dead, go back to respawn.
You can set up an ambushes effectively using poison smokes and rocket launchers.
Tanks, they can be taken down with Rockets and land mines So bring your rockets and mines ( See more in Rocket Launcher, Cannon Rules ).
